Wick Townsend is the Founder, President, and Chief Operating Officer for Ironclad. He has enjoyed a 24 year career in both the public and private sectors. He has served in executive leadership roles in organizations ranging in size from startup to 400 employees, and in positions leading sales, marketing, capture and executive recruiting. He has significant experience with strategy development, governance, and finance. Previously he served in the U.S. Navy after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Shannon TownsendShannon Townsend

Shannon Townsend, Director of Accounting and Human Resources, is responsible for the oversight and direction of Ironclad’s Accounting and Human Resources functions. She has 10 years’ experience in engineering, project management and budget planning. Shannon holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina – Columbia, SC. At the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Detachment Hawaii, Shannon supported weapons data analysis as an Electrical Engineer. Then, as an Assistant Program Manager, Shannon supported the Naval Air Systems Command Training Systems for Air to Ground weapons in Crystal City, VA. Most recently, Shannon was an Environmental Engineer; in charge of Naval Air Station Oceana’s, hazardous materials and hazardous waste programs with a staff of 25 military and civilian personnel.

Tony LandTony Land

Tony Land is an Executive Vice President and responsible for the oversight and execution of Ironclad’s Information Technology and Intelligence services groups. He has 26 years of public service (U.S. Marine Corps active and reserve) and has enjoyed a 16 year career in the private sector. Prior to Ironclad, he served as Vice President of a mid-size IT services firm where he led the development and operations of the company’s largest professional services practice. Tony has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Business from Webster University.

Ed HeringEd Hering

Ed Hering is the practice manager for Ironclad’s Financial Systems and Analytics consulting group. A former US Navy Supply Corps Captain with 27 years of service, his major tours include Commanding Officer of DFAS Norfolk, CINCLANTFLT Comptroller, and Supply Officer on 4 ships. In the private sector, he has served as the Financial Management Lead for the NEMAIS (NAVY ERP) pilot and Financial Management Test Lead for the Navy ERP 1.1 Solution (Inventory Management). In addition, he has been a consultant to the Navy’s surface ship type commander community supporting the Surface Warfare Enterprise (SWE) Financial Team and the Comptroller's office. Ed has a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a Master’s degree from American University.
